Superannuation
The activities of the Unit include the examination of the following documents lodged with the Government Actuary; trust deed amendments, trustee annual reports and actuarial valuations. The Unit is also responsible for the registration of new Superannuation Schemes.
The Government Actuary deals with complaints made by members of registered superannuation schemes where the complaints relate to the management and or solvency of the scheme.
The Securities Act Prospectus, and Financial Reporting Act compliance is relevant to superannuation schemes which under the Securities Act are "Issuers to the Public" and there are files in the Companies Office with a file prefix of "SU". These files are open to the Public for searching.
